Richmond to host 2015 cycling world championships (hamptonroads)
COPENHAGEN, Denmark The United States has been selected to host the 2015 road
cycling world championships, bringing the event to the U.S. for the first time
since 1986. The UCI, cycling’s international governing body, selected the bid
from Richmond, Va., today during the road world championships being held in
Denmark. Colorado Springs hosted the worlds in 1986.
