HELP ASAP PLEASE!!!!!?

i just fed my snake a rat in a different tank. he finished swallowing the rat. i went to go grab him (with heavy leather bike riding gloves) and he went for me again. he smashed the side of the glass tank and now itlooks like his bottom lip is messed up. it isnt shut al the way and is bent back. it looks like it is stuck on something on the roof of his mouth. please tell me that this is normal (he is a red tailed boa) and that it would fix itself and be ok

Snakes are perfectly fine to have as a pet and they actually make great pets if you care for them properly. As for your snake, my burmese python ate a rat one time but it went down sideways and her mouth was bent in the weirdest way possible! But a few moments had passed and she was able to fix it herself. Im guessing its because their mouths are flexible that it did this. I would though take him to the vet and have him checked out. Maybe he needs a bigger meal (reason for going after you)
